The professorship for Gender Media Studies, with a special focus on diversity, examines the relationship between gender and media from an intersectional perspective. Audiovisual and algorithmic media, as well as platforms and infrastructures, are central subjects of research. Current projects are situated in the areas of mobility, climate justice and media, and political education and democracy promotion.
Postdoctoral position with independent research and teaching in the field of intersectional gender media studies.
Your tasks:
- Independent delivery of teaching in media studies and gender studies (4 semester hours)
- Independent research, publication and lecturing activities
- Support for third-party funded projects
- Build and maintain scientific and civil society networks
- Organization and conception of events in the field of transfer and public science

Requirements
- Very good degree in media studies or a related discipline, as well as in gender studies, anthropology, geography or sociology with a relevant media studies topic, and a dissertation in media studies or a related discipline, as well as in gender studies, anthropology, geography or sociology with a relevant media studies reference, at least submitted.
- Postdoc project in at leastathe following areas: Gender Media Studies, Trans Studies, Postcolonial Studies, Critique of Racism, Critique of Antisemitism, Climate Justice / Extractivism, Data Studies, Disability Studies, Social Justice, Democracy Work and/or (digital) Fascism Research, (Digital) Violence.
