This doctoral position will work within the SFB 1760 in project A03 on Pronominal Realization in Indo-Aryan. We are looking for someone with interest and expertise in Indo-Aryan languages, with Bangla, Nepali, Punjabi, Sindhi, and Urud/Hindi being of particular interest for the project. The project work will involve research on these languages with respect to the various forms of pronominal realization (simple, null, doubling, incorporation) and will involve looking at word order, ellipsis and prosodic properties as well. The candidate should be prepared to conduct primary fieldwork on the languages and engage in morphosyntactic analysis. The theoretical framework assumed is LFG (Lexical Functional Grammar).

- Presenting research at national and international conferences
- Interacting with other doctoral researchers and members of the SFB
- Helping with the organization of SFB and project events
- Contributing towards the research group

Requirements
- MA in linguistics or a related field
- Competence in formal linguistics
- Previous work on South Asian Languages
- Previous work in the area of morphosyntax
- Previous experience with LFG is desirable
