2026 PhD student in personality and legal psychology at the University of Hagen

In the field of personality, legal psychology, and diagnostics, we study socially aversive personality traits and their impact on society. A study with recently released prisoners ( experience sampling ) is planned.

Your tasks:

  • Research activities
    • Independent work on a doctoral project at the interface of personality and legal psychology.
    • Application of statistical methods for data analysis (also in R)
  • Publications and presentations
    • Writing scientific articles for academic journals
    • Presentation of research results at national and international conferences
  • Chair-related tasks
    • Support in the supervision of students (e.g. seminars, exercises, online tutorials)
    • Participation in the creation of teaching materials and e-learning content
    • Correction of exam results and supervision of theses
  • Administrative tasks
    • Maintenance of databases and documentation of research results

Requirements

  • They hold a good university degree at Master's level in Psychology from a state university.
  • They have a particular interest in research in personality or legal psychology.
  • They possess excellent knowledge of psychological research and data analysis methods, good communication skills in German and English, a willingness to collaborate across disciplines, and the ability to work in a team.
  • They are ready to further develop blended learning concepts.
  • Part of the working time can be done in the home office by arrangement.
