The Urban Ecology and Biodiversity Group (Prof. Valentin Klaus) at the Institute of Geography researches ecological patterns and processes in urban and rural areas. Our work aims to improve understanding of biodiversity decline and find ways to curb it and promote biodiversity in cities.
In a new project co-funded by Interreg Northwest-Europe, we work on improving habitat connectivity for urban wildlife (small mammals and amphibians) in urban areas.
