Viadrina University Motivational Grant for graduates of PASCH schools

Funding is available for students from Armenia, Bulgaria, Poland, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Turkey, Ukraine and Uzbekistan who are studying in their first Bachelor's year at the European University Frankfurt (Oder). This does not apply to post-graduate and further education programmes..

Grant period: 01st October, 2025 until probably 28th February, 2026

and, if applicable, continuation of the grant payment in the summer semester 2026 depending on good academic performance in the winter semester 2025/26 and continuation of the studies in the summer semester 2026.

Subject to the continued funding of the BIDS project by the DAAD, the European University Viadrina will award motivational grants for the winter semester 2025-26 (and, if applicable, the summer semester 2024) in accordance with the funds available for this purpose from the DAAD within the framework of the partner school initiative (funded by the German Foreign Ministry).

Requirements

Interview Dates and Process

• Good performance
• Very good German language skills
• Meaningful letter of motivation

• University entrance qualification (Abitur certificate) and proof of German language proficiency

• Certificates of achievement and, if applicable, references on voluntary work

• Curriculum vitae in tabular form

• Letter of motivation explaining the following points:

  • Why did you decide to study at the Viadrina?

  • What would you use the grant for?
  • How did you become aware of the Viadrina?
  • How did you become aware of the grant?
  • What hopes do you associate with studying in Germany?
