Inviting Guests for Professors at TU Berlin 2025

To establish new collaborations and strengthen existing connections, you as a professor can receive grants for the accommodation costs of your guestsin the form of daily or monthly flat rates.

Please address your application to the contact person responsible for the partner country within the Department of International Affairs. An overview of the responsibilities can be found in the link box.

Benefits

Accommodation costs for postdoctoral researchers, university teachers and lecturers

• Daily rate up to 22 days: 89,- Euro per day
• Monthly rate from 23 days: 2,000 euros per month

Accommodation costs for doctoral students

• Daily rate up to 22 days: 54 euros per day;
• Monthly rate from 23 days: 1,200 euros.

Requirements

Only professors at TU Berlin are eligible to apply.

Interview Dates and Process

After the cooperation activities, please send us a short, informal report by email with the following content:

• What concrete measures were taken and for what purpose?
• Were the expected goals for your guest's stay achieved? What was the outcome?
• What concrete benefits can you derive from your stay for your department and for TU Berlin as a whole?
• How do you assess the quality of the partnership and its future prospects?

How To Apply

Please complete the funding application form and send it, signed, by internal mail or email to the relevant country contact person in the Department of International Affairs.

Please briefly address the following questions in your application:

• What concrete measures are being implemented and with what aim?
• What concrete benefits do you expect from the stay for your department and for TU Berlin as a whole?

After reviewing your application, you will receive a response from us via email. If your application is approved, please confirm the dates of your stay as soon as possible and provide us with your guest's home address and bank details . Cash payments are not possible under any circumstances. Payment requires approximately four weeks' lead time.
