The German University Foundation (DUS) developed the Welcome scholarship program for refugee bachelor's students living in Germany , which launched in October 2015. The core of the scholarship program is to provide scholarship recipients with one-on-one support from university professors close to their field of study and their location, who are placed through the German University Foundation. In addition, the scholarship offers other non-material benefits to facilitate successful studies and entry into the German job market.
