The Deutschlandstipendium scholarship was introduced across Germany in 2011. The University of Bonn and the University of Bonn Foundation, together with their sponsors, have been involved in the scheme since winter semester 2013/14, with the foundation responsible for awarding and administering the scholarship program.

Benefits
- Each scholarship recipient is given EUR 300 a month (EUR 3,600 per year).
Requirements
The prerequisite for an application is admission or enrollment at the University of Bonn.
The following can apply:
- all students who are pursuing a degree (Bachelor, Master, State Examination, Church Examination, Magister Examination) at the University of Bonn and are enrolled,
- all high school graduates and prospective students who would like to begin their studies at the University of Bonn in the near future.
Applications are not permitted.
- If the standard period of study is exceeded, funding beyond the standard period of study is possible upon application.
- upon receiving performance-based funding of more than 30 euros/month,
- during doctoral studies.

Required documents and qualifications for new applications:
Only complete applications can be considered!
Duty:
- Declaration of participation (found on the application server)
- Tabular CV
- University entrance qualification
- Complete academic record of previous studies (excerpt from BASIS; not applicable to applicants)
Mandatory - if applicable:
- Certificates (education, profession)
- Certificate of enrollment (study certificate (also for BAföG) - (if already available, otherwise to be submitted after the start of studies - no payment will be made before then!)
Optional additions:
- Certificates and attestations regarding internships and part-time jobs
- Certificates of voluntary/social engagement, special skills, awards, prizes, stays abroad, etc. (only certified engagement can be considered)
