This scholarship was created to enable for more qualified female engineering students to pursue a Master’s degree programme and establish gender equality among students of English-language Master’s degree programmes at RWTH International Academy.

Benefits

The scholarship covers 25% of the tuition fees for the respective Master’s degree programme.

Requirements

Candidates have completed their Bachelor’s degrees with very good grade point averages and at least 12 months of professional experience in their career field. They have furthermore been admitted to one of the following Master’s degree programmes at RWTH International Academy:

• M. Sc. Computer Aided Conception and Production in Mechanical Engineering
• M. Sc. Management and Engineering in Computer Aided Mechanical Engineering
• M. Sc. Management and Engineering in Production Systems
• M. Sc. Robotic Systems Engineering
• M. Sc. Smart Production Engineering
• M. Sc. Textile Engineering
• M. Sc. Resilient Civil Engineering
• M. Sc. Battery Systems Engineering

Interview Dates and Process

In your letter of intent, you should specify your motivation for applying for this scholarship. Your letter of intent should follow a clear, logical structure. You should answer the following questions in an engaging and creative manner:

• “What is your self-perception as a woman in the field of engineering and what are your personal future goals?
• How will this scholarship empower you and how do you plan to empower others by holding this scholarship?
• What action would you take in your role as an ambassador among female engineers?”

The evaluation process does include multiple rounds. Female applicants will be informed about the decision for the WIE Grand along with their admission offer for one of the above-mentioned Master’s degree programs.

How To Apply

Scholarship applications must be submitted and uploaded through the RWTHonline application portal.The application for the scholarship must be submitted together with the application for the programme through the official application portal of RWTH Aachen University.

Please note that incomplete applications cannot be considered.
