RWTH Aachen University awards scholarships to young scientists with a view to strengthening cooperation with universities in Taiwan.

Benefits

For stays in Aachen

• Master's students: €1,250 per month for up to six months
• Doctoral candidates: €1,250 per month for up to six months

For stays in Taiwan (at one of the institutions mentioned above)

• Master's students: €900 per month for up to six months
• Doctoral candidates: €1,250 per month for up to six months

Single parents and persons with chronic illnesses or disabilities may be granted a higher scholarship if they can prove that they have additional needs.

Requirements

Master's students and doctoral candidates at RWTH Aachen University as well as those at the following universities in Taiwan:

• Chang Gung University (CGU)
• National Cheng Kung University (NCKU)
• National Taiwan University (NTU)
• National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (NTUST/TaiwanTech)
• National Tsing Hua University (NTHU)
• National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU)

Interview Dates and Process

• Good academic performance
• Civic engagement is an advantage

Application Documents

• Curriculum vitae / CV with contact details (address, email)
• One to two pages explaining the duration, planned activities, and intended purpose of the stay
• Hosting agreement from the host university with reference to the purpose and duration of the stay, including a review of the history of cooperation and/or an outline of potential future cooperation
• Certificate of enrollment from the home university (for master's students)
• Transcript of records (for master's students)
• Copy of passport

2. If your application is successful, you will receive all the information you need for your stay at RWTH Aachen University.

RWTH Outgoings

1. Upload all application documents using the online form for outgoing students.
2. If your application is successful, you will receive all the information you need for your stay at the host university.
