RISE Worldwide DAAD Scholarship for Internship in Canada 2026

Bachelor’s, diploma, and state examination students in the fields of natural sciences, engineering, medicine, psychology, or computer science at German universities can apply for a research internship in Canada funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). More than 13,000 projects are available via the Globallink database of the Canadian exchange organization Mitacs.

Benefits

Scholarship holders receive

• a monthly DAAD full scholarship rate and
• a one-time travel allowance (both depending on the destination country),
• health, accident, and liability insurance
• as well as a local mentor.

Requirements

• Only fully enrolled Bachelor students from the second semester onwards at German universities and universities of applied sciences.
• Students from the following disciplines:  biology, chemistry, physics, geosciences, engineering, medicine, pharmacy, applied mathematics, applied computer science or related disciplines.
• Students who are not German citizens may also apply under certain conditions. Please check your eligibility to apply .
