To strengthen their team, the Faculty of Cultural and Social Sciences at the University of Hagen are looking for a Research Associate in Quantitative Methods Unit to start as soon as possible.

The "Quantitative Methods" unit is responsible for methodological training in political science and sociology. Our focus encompasses the entire (quantitative) research process: from developing a research question through operationalization and case selection to advanced multivariate data analysis. Our research primarily focuses on the (political) attitudes and behaviors of citizens.

Requirements

  • They have a completed university degree at Master's level, preferably in the field of social sciences (e.g. political science, sociology).
  • They possess very good knowledge of empirical (quantitative) social research.
  • They are certainly familiar with a relevant statistics program (preferably R/RStudio).
  • They have very good knowledge of the German language, both spoken and written.
  • They have initial teaching experience.
  • Ideally, you have knowledge of and interest in the field of political attitude and behavior research.
  • Ideally, you have knowledge of Moodle and Camtasia.
  • They are interested in innovative teaching formats.
  • They are characterized by reliability as well as willingness and ability to work independently.
