The Transformative Sustainability Science research group at the University of Freiburg is seeking a research associate in the field of instructional/didactic design for the project “Transformative and Transdisciplinary Sustainability Education” of the Innovation Campus Sustainability.

The position involves developing, testing, and researching analog, digital, and hybrid teaching and learning formats for solution-oriented and transdisciplinary sustainability education.

Requirements

General requirements 

• Completed Master's degree in Educational Sciences, Vocational Education, Sustainability and Climate Education, Teacher Training Programs with a focus on Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) or related degree programs or professional experience 
• Careful, proactive and reliable work ethic, both individually and as part of a team.
• Friendly and open demeanor
• Proficient use of common MS Office applications
• Very good German and English skills
• Flexibility and commitment

Specific requirements 

• Experience or a strong interest in sustainability education topics is a prerequisite.
• Experience in the design of analog, digital and hybrid teaching and learning formats (instructional design / media design) is expected.
• Experience with measuring learning success
• Experience in creating and designing digital learning environments and in using learning platforms (preferably ILIAS) is an advantage.
• Experience with AI applications in the field of instructional design is desirable.
