The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, research group on “Algebraic Lie Theory”, Prof. Dr. István Heckenberger is currently accepting applications for a Research Assistant (Postdoc).
Tasks:
- Scientific services in research
- Conduct research related to Nichols algebras and deformation theory
- Engage in regular scientific interactions with the research group of Leandro Vendramin at VUB Brussels
- Report regularly on research progress within the local research group and during meetings with the collaborators in Brussels
- Present research results at international conferences and workshops
- Participate in the organization of a workshop in this research area, jointly held between Brussels and Marburg

Requirements
- MSc-degree or equivalent and a PhD in Mathematics
- Sufficient English skills for fluent professional discussions
- Deep knowledge in one of the areas Hopf algebras, quantum groups, modular representation theory of finite groups, permutation group theory
Disposition to own scientific qualification is expected.
