A Postdoc position is being sought at the Molecular Pathology Diagnostics in Personalized Medicine (MPZ: Heidelberg University Hospital).

Your tasks

  • Analysis of molecular genetic data and reporting within the framework of routine molecular pathology diagnostics
  • Supporting and independently managing translational research projects
  • Participation in interdisciplinary tumor boards (MTB)

Requirements

  • Completed university degree in a natural science (e.g., biology, molecular medicine, molecular biology) and doctorate
  • 1-2 years of experience in molecular pathology and/or translational cancer research
  • NGS experience: Panel sequencing, whole-exome sequencing (WES) and/or high-throughput gene expression analysis
  • Experience in the analysis of high-dimensional data in diagnostics and research
  • Basic knowledge of robotics, bioinformatics and the R programming language is advantageous.
  • German language skills at level C1
  • English language skills for writing scientific texts and presentations
  • Safe use of Microsoft Office
  • Strong teamwork skills, independence, sense of responsibility and flexibility
  • Mobility (the work takes place in different laboratories and initially also in different buildings on the Neuenheimer Feld campus)
