Requirements
- Completed university studies (Master/Diploma) in the field of Medical Physics, Physics, Computer Science, Medical Engineering or a closely related field with a strong interest in quantitative medical imaging
- Very good programming skills in at least one object-oriented language (e.g., C++, Python) and broad understanding of common programming paradigms, including object-oriented design, template programming, and multithreaded development
- Strong background in physics; good understanding of nuclear, radiation or medical physics is desirable
- Knowledge of Monte Carlo simulation methods using the Geant4 framework, medical image reconstruction principles and experience with high-performance computer simulations in physics would be beneficial
- Experience in working with medical imaging data, especially with PET, would be helpful
- Excellent teamwork and good communication skills in an interdisciplinary research environment
- Motivation and self-discipline to carry out research independently
- Excellent command of spoken and written English
