At the Department of Pharmacy, Institute of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Prof. Schützenmeister's research group, a Qualification position with the goal of doctoral studies is available as soon as possible, limited to 3 years, provided no prior qualification periods are to be credited.
Your tasks:
- Scientific services in research and teaching
- Development of sustainable methods for the synthesis of pharmaceutically relevant natural products and natural product analogs
- Supervision of pharmacy students in theoretical and practical courses, especially in preparative organic chemistry
- Supervision of advanced practical courses in medicinal chemistry as well as master's students and trainees
Within the scope of the assigned tasks, the opportunity for independent academic work is offered, which serves the individual's own academic qualification.

Requirements
- Completed university degree (state examination, Master's or equivalent) in pharmacy or chemistry
- Master's thesis in the field of medical or synthetic organic chemistry
- ideally, experience in teaching the subject of "Organic Chemistry"
- Experience in the application of chromatographic and spectroscopic methods (especially NMR techniques)
A willingness to pursue one's own scientific qualification (e.g., a doctoral project in the field of sustainable methods for the synthesis of natural products and analogues) is expected.
