PhD Student in Organic and Biomolecular Chemistry at the Universität Göttingen 2026

The Institute for Organic and Biomolecular Chemistry at the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen is looking to fill the position of a PhD Student.

The prospective candidate will perform the design, synthesis and characterization of peptidomimetics. These will be used to modulate the activity of target proteins which will be investigated using various biophysical methods.

Requirements

•  hold or will hold a Master's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related areas,
•  have experience in solid-phase peptide synthesis and the characterization of peptides,
•  have experience in biophysical investigation of peptide-protein interactions,
•  have experience in automated flow chemistry,
•  have very good communication skills in written and spoken English,
•  have very good communication skills in German to support teaching,
•  are creative, and curious in acquiring new techniques
