The doctoral position is based in the I. Department of Medicine in the field of immunological research. We investigate reciprocal influences of infections and autoimmunity in the field of autoimmune liver diseases and inflammatory bowel diseases. To this end, we use complex cell culture models and primary human samples. The work is embedded in a larger, international team. We look forward to receiving motivated support for our research.

Requirements
- Completed scientific university degree (Master of Science (MSc) or diploma) in immunology, cell biology, biomedicine, molecular medicine, or a related field of life sciences
- Practical experience or strong interest in high-dimensional flow cytometry, cell culture, confocal microscopy, and bioinformatics
- Prior knowledge of or strong interest in immunology and pathogen-host interaction
- Strong interest in interdisciplinary collaboration
- Very good written and spoken English skills
- Good communication skills
