As a research associate, you will play an active role in advancing electrochemical CO? reduction to methanol. Requirements

  1. Experienced chemist with a strong background in electrochemistry, including hands-on experience with electrochemical characterization methods preferably such as cyclic voltammetry, chronoamperometry, and impedance spectroscopy.
  2. Practical knowledge of zero-gap flow cell setups and their operation under relevant conditions for electrolysis research.
  3. Expertise in the synthesis and characterization of both molecular and heterogeneous catalysts, ideally with experience in catalyst ink formulation and electrode preparation.
  4. Familiarity with advanced analytical techniques to evaluate catalyst performance and electrode stability.
  5. Ability to independently design, conduct, and troubleshoot experiments, ensuring reproducibility and data integrity.
  6. Open-minded and collaborative attitude, capable of working effectively in interdisciplinary teams and adapting to evolving project needs.
  7. Strong scientific communication skills in English, both written and oral, including the ability to document results clearly and present findings to diverse audiences.
  8. Required university degree: Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related discipline, with excellent academic results.
