The Department of Rheumatology and Clinical Immunology invites applications for a Doctoral Research Position (PhD). The position is embedded in the DFG-funded Research Unit FOR 5930, a multidisciplinary collaboration arround Athero-Immunology between research institutions in Lübeck, Berlin, Borstel, and Kiel. The department is leading in the field of research on antibodies targeting G-protein coupled receptors. Within the project we aim to decipher the role of the antibodies and their respective antigen in cardiovascular diseases with a focus on atherosclerosis.

Requirements
- Successfully completed university studies in the field of molecular biology, biochemistry, immunology or similar
- Strong background in wet-lab molecular biology techniques
- Knowledge of biostatistical and computational biology is ideal
- Ability to work independently and in a structured manner
- Very good written and spoken English skills
