What will the Mercedes-Benz vehicle portfolio of the future look like? Which vehicle concepts will enable Mercedes-Benz to secure its position as a leading provider of luxury and premium vehicles in the long term? Which products inspire our customers worldwide – and how are markets, technologies, and competitors developing?
These are precisely the questions the Portfolio Management team, address every day. The team is part of the Product Strategy and Control department and shape the long-term direction of the global vehicle portfolio of Mercedes-Benz Cars. To this end, the team combine market, customer, and competitor analyses with strategic, technical, and economic considerations to prepare well-founded decisions for the vehicles of tomorrow.
Mercedes-Benz work on issues of high strategic relevance and support decision-makers, up to and including the Board of Management, in setting the course for the future. At the intersection of strategy, product development, design, marketing, and finance, we develop holistic perspectives on the products of tomorrow.

- During your internship, you will develop robust analyses and create professional PowerPoint decision-making templates for management. This includes, among other things: analyzing and preparing market and customer data.
- Screening of international competitive activities
- Assessment of future trends and their significance for the automotive industry
