Mercedes-Benz ADAS Platform Software Integration PhD Scholarship 2025

The aim of the three-year doctoral thesis is to develop practical software that explores requirements at the edge of technical feasibility and provides scientific support.
Mercedes-Benz team developed a concept that enables the most accurate reproduction of residual bus signals. This is essential for testing our software without the presence of entire vehicles. Various solutions for this purpose already exist on the market, but none of them meet our requirements for operating system independence, precise signal reproduction, and the ability to specifically implement realistic communication patterns to efficiently address specific situations in service-oriented architectures. Realism will be examined based on various dimensions, such as precise real-time behavior and/or signal noise.

The activity can begin from November 2025. A prerequisite for employment is that the doctoral project must be supervised by a university lecturer. The selection of a suitable supervisor is the responsibility of the doctoral candidate.
