Benefits
This scholarship covers childcare costs outside of regular childcare hours. These include, but are not limited to:
- Costs for childcare in the evenings (babysitter, etc.), for example to attend a lecture, meeting or event at the university.
- Costs for childcare on weekends or during holidays (babysitter, emergency mother, etc.) in order to be able to attend, for example, a scientific conference, a congress, a continuing education event.
- Costs for accompanying children to conferences, meetings, excursions, or field research (e.g., travel tickets, accommodation, or on-site childcare). Reimbursement of costs for conferences and meetings is subject to a separate scientific contribution (presentation, poster, presentation, etc.). Evidence of this must be included with the application.
Requirements
Eligible to apply are young female researchers at LMU (primarily those with a successful doctorate) with children (up to the age of 12). It is irrelevant whether the young researcher is affiliated with LMU through a position or a scholarship.

The scholarship application must be submitted in writing to the University Women's Representative. The application must include the following information:
- Amount requested with detailed cost breakdown
- Period for which the scholarship is applied for
- Justification for the need for care
- Caregiver and extent of care
- Copy of the child's/children's birth certificate
- For reimbursement of costs for conferences and meetings: Proof of your own scientific contribution (lecture, poster, moderation, etc.)
