IT Project Management Intern - Digital Twin at BMW 2026

The team at the BMW Group is driving the company-wide development of the Digital Twin. The 'Digital Vehicle File End2End' project aims to provide the digital twin of all BMW Group products in a cloud solution, focusing on compliance throughout the entire product lifecycle and enabling cross-departmental collaboration.

What can you expect?

• You will support a cross-departmental, internationally active and motivated team at the Munich location and work in a hybrid working environment.
• Furthermore, you will gain insight into the processes and IT systems of the BMW Group as well as into the international collaboration with the teams in the BMW Group IT Hub in South Africa.
• Furthermore, you will contribute to the company-wide development of the Digital Twin for the BMW Group.
• In addition, you will support the organizational, agile and strategic management of the overall project as well as operational committee and deadline management.
• Furthermore, you will collaborate with the team in designing workshops and support them in the conception, preparation and execution.
• Additionally, you can contribute and try out your talents while working independently on tasks and receiving regular feedback from your contact person.

Requirements

• Studies in economics, business informatics, industrial engineering or a comparable field.
• High willingness to learn about complex and dynamic subject areas.
• Prior practical experience in project management is an advantage.
• Affinity for IT systems and the resulting system and process landscapes.
• Proficient use of MS Office, especially PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
• Experience with agile methods and tools such as JIRA and Confluence is desirable.
• Fluent German and English skills.
