These semester scholarships are partially funded by STIBET I through the German Federal Foreign Office, internal quality improvement funds of the university (QVM), and the Association for International Students in Bielefeld (ViSiB). They are intended for all international HSBI students enrolled in Bachelor's or Master's degree programmes. The Scholarship for Equal Opportunities is awarded to candidates facing particular challenges in their studies (e.g. special childcare responsibilities, care for relatives in need, disability, or refugee background).
€ 992.00 per month for eligible candidate.
As part of the preliminary selection process, the applicant’s need for support is assessed based on their motivational letter, with a clear focus on financial aspects. Exceptional personal or academic challenges are also taken into account. Scholarships are awarded based on the number of applications received and the individual level of support required as described by the applicant.
