GIZ Paid Internship in Project Development and Portfolio Management 2027

The German Development Cooperation Agency (GIZ) is offering a six-month paid internship within its Invest for Jobs initiative, which works with businesses and development partners to encourage sustainable investment and create more and better jobs in African countries.

Interns will contribute to project development, portfolio coordination, business research and knowledge management while supporting initiatives across sectors such as digital technology, agriculture, logistics, textiles and the circular economy.

Benefits

• The monthly intern salary is €2,349 (gross).

Requirements

• At least five semesters of study in economics, social sciences or political science, IT or another relevant field
• Good skills in using data processing programs (e.g. Excel) and data analysis
• Good analytical, conceptual, and communicative skills
• Attention to detail, teamwork and solution-oriented approach, as well as work efficiency even in time-critical situations
• Language skills according to the Common European Framework of Reference: German language skills at least C1 and English language skills at least B2
• Knowledge or initial experience in development cooperation and/or regional experience in Africa
• Knowledge of impact measurement, employment promotion, economic policy and/or social security
• Language skills according to the Common European Framework of Reference: French language skills at least B2 level
