Benefits

  • Support is provided as a grant of €500 per month (partial scholarships for one year), as well as full scholarships of up to €900 per month (for one or two years). In exceptional cases, lump-sum grants may also be awarded – for example, for equipment, musical instruments, or similar expenses.

Requirements

  • Talented students (male/female/diverse) are selected based on their academic background and commitment, particularly those whose limited financial resources hinder their ability to focus on completing their studies efficiently.
  • Applicants are also expected to have demonstrated a willingness to engage in social activities – for example, by supporting other students with their integration into the university and their community.
  • Applicants should credibly articulate their intention to contribute to development in their home country after completing their education or doctorate, or to mentor young students themselves. This intention should be clearly stated in the application for support.

The aim is to give preferential consideration to foreign students from disadvantaged, non-EU countries, enabling them to enter into further studies as postgraduate students at the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences at the University of Hohenheim.

Students (m/f/d) are eligible to apply if they do not have other means of support to adequately cover their living expenses.
