Benefits
- All students receive a monthly study allowance of €300. Depending on the family's financial situation, an additional basic scholarship based on the applicable BAföG rates and, if applicable, subsidies for health and long-term care insurance as well as family allowances are granted. These benefits do not have to be repaid.
- The foundation's liaison professors at the universities and the advisors at the office provide guidance to scholarship recipients and support them with all questions relating to their studies and funding.
- A varied and diverse educational program. The summer academies are the heart of the German National Academic Foundation's non-material support. For one or two weeks, students from different disciplines work on academic and artistic topics.
- The German National Academic Foundation encourages all scholarship recipients to spend part of their studies abroad. Scholarship recipients can therefore receive additional support for study, research, and internship stays or language courses abroad.
- Intensive exchange and close networking with students with diverse interests
Requirements
- The German National Academic Foundation (Studienstiftung) is the largest and oldest scholarship organization in Germany. We provide financial and non-material support to exceptionally talented and dedicated undergraduate and doctoral students.

- The German National Academic Foundation is the only scholarship organization in Germany that is politically, religiously, and ideologically independent.
