Exposé scholarship program of the German Academic Scholarship Foundation

The Exposé scholarship program offers current and former scholarship holders of the German Academic Scholarship Foundation the opportunity to complete a period of academic work at an institution of their choice in a stimulating academic environment after completing their studies.

The transition from studying to starting the dissertation project is of great importance for the later success of the doctorate – it is the time when you find a topic, formulate the exposé, choose a supervisor and university and, last but not least, apply for a doctoral scholarship or a doctoral position.

Benefits

• The Exposé scholarships can be awarded for a maximum period of six months. They include a monthly stipend of €1,100 in Germany or €1,300 abroad (plus a travel allowance of up to €400) and family allowances of up to €200. The scholarships are freely portable worldwide.
• All recipients of the Exposé scholarship program receive an invitation to the doctoral student forums, which take place twice a year.

Requirements

• Students who have already been or are still being supported by the German Academic Scholarship Foundation during their studies can apply for the Exposé Scholarship.
• Applications can be submitted during the final semester or trimester of study.
• The degree (defined by the month in which the last exam-relevant achievement was achieved) must not have been completed more than six months ago at the time of application.

Scholarship holders of the Studienstiftung can find the call for applications and application documents in the Daidalosnet under Funding for doctoral candidates/Exposé scholarship.

All those alumni of the Studienstiftung who no longer have access to Daidalosnet can obtain these documents via a short and informal request (please include a brief statement about how long ago they graduated) to exposestipendium(at)studienstiftung(dot)de.
