The Deutschlandstipendium was established by the Federal Government to support particularly high-achieving students. A Deutschlandstipendium can be awarded if private sponsorship can be found for half of the sponsorship amount, the second half is financed by the federal government. The Clausthal University of Technology participates in the programme. It is looking for sponsors and supporters in order to be able to support outstanding students of the TU with a scholarship.

The scholarship holder receives 3,600 euros for the year.
Requirements
- Applications are open to German and international first-year students as well as students in higher semesters.
- In addition to performance in the respective course of study, social criteria also play a role.
- For example, social and/or political commitment, social need, educational advancement, migration background or special awards and initial practical experience count.
- Compliance with the standard period of study
- Number of modules completed per semester
- Consistency of performance in the course of studies (for applicants from the 2nd FS)
- Commitment to university
- Soft skills
- If applicable, professional experience such as training, internships, (HiWi -Jobs)
- Consideration of social, family or personal circumstances
- Combination with other scholarships must be checked on a case-by-case basis (admissibility of the Deutschlandstipendium)
Support is excluded if the student receives other material support based on talent and performance or if the support amount exceeds an average of €30 per month.
Application Documents
- A letter of motivation not exceeding one page,
- A curriculum vitae in tabular form of no more than two pages,
- The certificate of higher education entrance qualification, in the case of foreign certificates an officially certified translation in German or English which can be transferred to the German system and converted into the German grading system,
- If applicable, proof of a special qualification entitling the applicant to study in the respective degree programme at Clausthal University of Technology,
- For applicants in a Master's degree programme, the certificate of a first university degree and, if applicable, further certificates of achievement in accordance with the admission and selection regulations for this Master's degree programme,
- proof of academic achievements to date,
- If applicable, internship and work references as well as proof of special awards and prizes, special social circumstances (e.g. proof of parenthood (birth certificate of the child) or proof of care responsibility (care level and proof that care is taken on as the main responsibility)), other knowledge and further commitment.
