BMW Intern UI/UX Design & Digital Validation 2026

The BMW Group, offer you an exciting and varied internship in the field of digital integration and validation. You will gain insights into key digitalization projects related to vehicle functions such as drivetrain, driving dynamics, and electrics/electronics. Together with our interdisciplinary team, you will work on the further development of internal IT systems and design intuitive user interfaces and an optimized user experience – used by hundreds of engineers worldwide.

What awaits you?

  • As a UI/UX specialist, you will support our team in the design and further development of internal applications and tools for drive, driving dynamics, and electrics/electronics.
  • You will also be involved in conducting user analyses, interviews, and feedback sessions to identify requirements.
  • In addition, you will support the creation of interactive prototypes (e.g. in Figma) to validate new features.
  • You will also contribute to the development of modern, consistent, and scalable UI concepts for our applications.
  • You will contribute to the design of design systems, wireframes, mockups, and interactive click paths.
  • You will also support the conception of new functions in close coordination with developers and specialist departments.
  • You will also support the presentation of your concepts and accompany rollouts and training sessions.

Requirements

  • Studies in the field of media informatics, human-computer interaction, computer science, UX design, industrial engineering or a comparable course of study.
  • Initial practical experience in UI/UX design, prototyping or user-centered development.
  • Confident use of design and prototyping tools (e.g. Figma, Adobe XD or similar).
  • Knowledge of agile project methods and a basic understanding of IT system development is an advantage.
  • Analytical and structured thinking with high quality standards for usability and design.
  • Initiative, teamwork and clear communication.
  • Very good knowledge of German and English.
