BMW Group Intern in High-voltage Storage Development 2026

The team at the BMW Group is dedicated to the development and validation of high-voltage storage systems. During your internship, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable insights into innovative battery technologies.

What can you expect?

• You will learn about the components of the high-voltage storage system, as well as their functions and requirements for error-free operation.
• Furthermore, you will support the test engineers in developing and optimizing safety tests for memory components.
• Furthermore, you will assist with sample preparation in the laboratory, test support, and the evaluation of test results.
• Furthermore, you contribute to component safety in a coordinated manner, and your results influence the design of the overall system.
• Furthermore, you will support close networking with other specialist groups and interdisciplinary development work.

Requirements

• Studies in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, materials science, chemistry, physics or a comparable field of study.
• Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of MATLAB and Catia is an advantage.
• Fluent German and good English skills.
• Teamwork and communication skills.
• High motivation, commitment, and creativity in supporting activities.
• Driving licence class B.
