We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Research Fellow in the field of Theoretical Biophysics and Advanced Cell System Biology to lead cutting-edge research projects in human cell-based systems. The successful candidate will drive projects integrating advanced genome-scale experimental and computational approaches, including mass spectrometry, proteomics, advanced cell imaging (including live-cell), drug screening, data analysis, and modeling.
- scientific services in research and teaching in the field of theoretical biophysics and advanced cell system biology
- Design and execute complex cell culture experiments and large-scale projects in human cells.
- lead and manage systems-scale studies and projects integrating multi-omics data
- develop and apply computational models for data analysis and interpretation.
- supervise and mentor bachelor, master, graduate students and postdoctoral researchers.
- contribute to teaching and training activities.
- contribute to writing, retaining and managing grants and funding for the research group.
- develop and execute AI strategies for automated workflows across the research group.
- help manage a research team of approximately 15 individuals.
- drive project planning and execution, ensuring timely completion of milestones.
- help develop and execute the research strategy and vision for the research group
- help develop and execute the funding strategy for the group
- tasks for own scientific qualification (habilitation)

Requirements
- completed scientific university degree and PhD in a relevant field, e.g. biophysics, cell biology, systems biology, bioengineering, drug discovery
- experience with advanced cell culture techniques at systems scale.
- proven expertise in mass spectrometry, proteomics, and advanced imaging.
