Given the growing importance of quantum computing as an innovative key technology for computationally intensive optimization tasks, promising potential arises for production planning and control. The FBK (Research Center for Quantum annealing) is intensively involved in the application of quantum annealing for production use cases and investigates how this method can be used as a tool for solving complex optimization problems in various production areas – from material requirements and production program planning to capacity and scheduling.
Here's what you can expect:
- Independent research work within the framework of projects
- Improvement of production systems through the use of quantum annealing
- Participation in international research conferences and international networking
- Participation in research projects from ideation to implementation
- Supervising lectures and student projects
- Contributing to industrial projects
- Opportunity to pursue a doctorate (Dr.-Ing.)
