The Institute of Photonics (IOP) is seeking a Research Associate (PhD Candidate) in Photonic Quantum Systems.

The project focuses on the design and fabrication of integrated photonic quantum systems for optical quantum information processing. It also includes the exploration of novel optical manipulation techniques within these integrated systems.

Requirements

  • The prerequisite for this position is a completed university degree (Master's or equivalent), for example in physics or optical technologies.
  • Ideally, you will also possess broad background knowledge in photonics, optics, and quantum mechanics.
  • Knowledge of quantum information processing is desirable. You should be interested in working in a photonics laboratory and have the ability and willingness to collaborate with experts from various scientific and technical disciplines.
  • Furthermore, excellent written and spoken English skills are required.
