Requirements
The prerequisite for employment is a completed academic university degree in the field of environmental planning, landscape planning, environmental sciences, geography, geoinformatics, meteorology, geoecology or related fields.
The following experiences and skills are also desirable:
- Experience with participatory planning processes and multi-criteria decision support
- Experience in the analysis of large spatial datasets (e.g. remote sensing and image data, climatic or hydrological data)
- Experience in the application of machine learning, spatial optimization or other methods from the field of artificial intelligence (AI)
- good knowledge of a programming language, e.g. Python, R or Matlab
- good knowledge of ArcGIS or QGIS
- a strong motivation to further develop environmental planning through AI-supported methods and to combat both climate change and biodiversity loss
