The Programme Operations & Coordination Intern provides essential administrative and coordination assistance to ECFR’s MENA programme. This role drives daily operations by managing reporting, databases, events, communications, and social media. Working closely with the Programme Coordinator and the Programme Manager, the Intern helps ensure the effective delivery and organization of programme activities, while liaising with stakeholders and contributing to communications and advocacy efforts. Tasks may vary across regional programmes but consistently focus on enhancing efficiency and contributing to programme goals.

Requirements
Education & Qualifications:
- Currently doing a bachelor's or master's in international relations, political science, Communications, or a relevant field (ideally in their last semester).
- Basic knowledge of project cycle management and administrative functions.
- Familiarity with event organisation & coordination (virtual and in-person).
- Knowledge of social media platform management and digital communication tools.
- A high standard of written and verbal English communication is essential. Working knowledge of another European language is an advantage.
- Demonstrated interest in the MENA and European media landscape.
IT Requirements:
- Familiarity with the user MS-Office 365 environment.
- Knowledge of CRM database, or similar (desirable).
- Knowledge of WordPress, Canva, and other relevant tools for content creation (desirable).
Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to work both within a multinational, multidisciplinary team, to achieve the programme objectives
- Strong people skills with the ability to interact comfortably across various organisational levels.
- Flexible and able to adapt to changing conditions and deadlines.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and adapt to varying workloads.
- Self-motivated with a can-do attitude, initiative, and willingness to learn and contribute to team success.
Candidates must be eligible to work in Germany.
Subject to performance and funding availability, there may be an opportunity to transition into a full-time Programme Assistant role after an initial three-month period.
