This project is being conducted in close collaboration with Prof. Sofia Forslund-Startceva (ECRC and MDC), a leading expert in host-microbiome interactions and high-throughput bioinformatics.
The long-term goal is to identify protective microbial strains that could serve as the basis for novel microbiome-based therapeutic approaches.

Requirements
- They have a completed university degree in biology, pharmacology, or a comparable field.
- They show a high level of interest in interdisciplinary, clinically relevant issues in the field of microbiome-liver interaction, metabolic processes and (fatty) liver pathologies.
- You are willing to work scientifically with animal models (mouse) (experience/FELASA course advantageous)
- You are characterized by a meticulous and independent work style with corresponding initiative.
- Your strengths include the ability to work independently and to think conceptually.
- They are reliable, creative and flexible, and possess organizational and communication skills.
- You are also characterized by strong motivation, scientific curiosity, and the ability to work in a team.
- Excellent written and spoken English skills complete your profile.
