2026 Justus Liebig University Giessen Doctoral scholarship for 24 months

The doctoral candidate will participate in the research project "The Discourse of Symbolic Elites on the War in Ukraine: A Polish-German Comparison," funded by the German-Polish Science Foundation (Polsko-Niemiecka Fundacja na Rzecz Nauki) and directed by Prof. Dr. Karol Franczak (Uniwersytet ?ódzki) and Prof. Dr. Andreas Langenohl (Justus Liebig University Giessen).

Requirements

• A completed university degree in social sciences
• Sufficient knowledge, including linguistic skills, of media and public debates in Poland and Germany
• Experience and methodological knowledge in framing analysis or similar approaches in qualitative discourse analysis
• Skills in teamwork

The project is scheduled to start on January 1, 2026.
