This project will focus on in vitro assays recapitulating human T cell exhaustion, a dysfunctional cell state found in chronic infection and solid tumors. To identify novel regulators in this cell differentiation pathway, we will perform pooled CRISPR screens and controlled knock-out experiments with the goal to identify novel therapeutic strategies. This project will combine several disciplines, including immunology, cell biology, genetics and molecular biology.
Your Responsibilities
- Research in the field of transcriptional regulation of human T cell exhaustion
- Conducting large scale CRISPR screens in human T cells
- Interest in acquiring new skills and knowledge
- Communicating your results by publishing research papers in journals and conferences
- Assist in teaching and supervising BSc and MSc students
