Mercedes-Benz is seeking a Master’s student for a thesis project focused on the development of an AI agent. A key focus in this area is the ability to use different processors available on the market and also those specified in different target markets. This results in the need to make software portable. AI-based software solutions today are still heavily dependent on the respective processor technology.
For this purpose, we research and develop methods for characterizing software behavior on different processors.
These are the challenges you face:
- AgenticAI on Local Embedded Host - Developing an AI agent to interpret the software behavior in a vehicle-specific ECU
- AgenticAI on Remote Backend Host - Developing an AI agent to interpret the results of the vehicle-related agents for the entire fleet
The final topic will be selected in consultation with the university, you and us.

Requirements
- Degree in computer science or comparable course
- Very good knowledge of Linux, (embedded) C/C++, Python
- Good understanding of CNNs and heterogeneous embedded systems
- Knowledge in building compilers and toolchains, ideally LLVM and TVM
- Fluent written and spoken German and English skills
- Confident use of MS Office
- Commitment and teamwork
- Analytical thinking and strategic working methods
