2025 RWTH Rochus and Beatrice Mummert Scholarships for Future Executives from Middle and South Eastern Europe

The Rochus and Beatrice Mummert Foundation award scholarships to future leaders from Middle and South Eastern Europe.

Mummert scholarships provide funding for four-semester Master's programmes in the natural and engineering sciences, in economics, and in tourism studies. Further, the scholarships comprise a four to five month internship placement (typically in the summer semester of the second year) as well as management training courses. Scholarship recipients take part in mentoring and cultural events programmes. Funding will be provided for five semesters of study.

Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Be enrolled (plan to enrol) in a master's programme in one of the following subject areas: Engineering or Business Administration & Engineering, Natural Sciences, Economics, or Tourism Studies;
  • Hail from one of the following countries: Bulgaria, Estonia, Croatia, Lithuania, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Czech Republic, Hungary
  • Have completed their Bachelor's Degree (in one of the above listed fields) at the beginning of the scholarship period
  • Demonstrate excellent academic performance (very good grades, also in mathematics)
  • Have very good German language skills
  • Demonstrate leadership potential
  • Have enthusiasm and a strong personality
  • Demonstrate social and community engagement
  • Have the ambition to return to their country of origin after completion of their degree

  • Assignment of mentors from major companies
  • Personal supervisors (leaders from academia, industry, or the cultural sector)
  • University staff
  • Experienced scholarship recipients and alumni
