Merit-based grants | max. 12 months | max. 300 € per month (in addition to BAföG, income or another scholarship)
Requirements
You can apply for the NRWege grants:
- if your university entrance qualification was obtained outside Germany/abroad
- if you are expected to successfully complete your studies
- if you do not receive social benefits/welfare
- if you do not have a settlement permit (Niederlassungserlaubnis)
- if you do not have German citizenship
- if you have entered Germany no more than five years ago. There are exceptions to this rule. Please contact us if this rule applies to you/your situation
- if you have applied for BAföG and your request was rejected
- if you have no other income ≥ 992 €

1. Please complete our online application form on Indico by 31 July 2025 and upload the required documents.
2. A selection committee will evaluate all grant applications. A decision will be made based on the submitted documents. You will be informed about the final decision until 31 August 2025.
