These 3-year research projects will focus on spectroscopic investigations of ultrafast dynamics in organic molecular semiconductors. As a PhD student in the group, you will use advanced ultrafast spectroscopy techniques for emerging material characterization. Core questions will be how structural motifs control ultrafast excitation dynamics and coherent electronic state evolution in chiral organic molecular semiconductors.
The PhD projects are available in the areas of:
- Chirality in the Ultrafast Dynamics of Excited Electronic States in N-Heteropolycycles (Prof. Felix Deschler)
- Investigation of coherent charge carrier transport in N-Heteropolycycles with novel ultrafast microscopy methods (Dr. Julia Anthea Gessner)
Your Tasks:
- Development and application of algorithms for modeling, evaluation and visualization of ultrafast processes
- Investigation of ultrafast dynamics in organic semiconductors
- Analysis of experimental results, literature work, scientific discussion
- Dissemination of project results with publications, presentations and outreach events
