The Department of Psychology, research group on sensorimotor learning, Prof. Dr. Alexander Schütz, is currently accepting applications for a Doctoral Researcher/PhD. The position is funded by the Cluster of Excellence The Adaptive Mind.
The planned subproject involves conducting perception and eye movement experiments on adults and children. The aim is to investigate how eye movements are adapted over the course of a lifetime, and how errors are predicted and corrected. In addition, the project will examine how different sensory and motor information is used to determine the consequences of one's own movements.
Tasks:
The position is limited to a time period deemed adequate for the completion of a doctoral degree. As part of the assigned duties, there will be ample opportunity to conduct the independent scientific research necessary for the completion of a doctorate. The limitation complies to § 2, 1 WissZeitVG.
Disposition to own scientific qualification (e. g. a doctorate project in the area of the research project) is expected.
